“I’m never eating again…”

We kicked off our holiday season this weekend with three parties. Consequently, we both feel horrible this morning. Advise, greasy pizza and fast food mexican do not mix.

Friday night was my company’s holiday party. It was about the same as last years, except completely different people and Jason was able to make it there this year. We had a white elephant gift exchange, in which I ended up with “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” which I was very satisfied with. That doesn’t often happen with white elephant gift exchanges.

The next night was our friend’s “Tacky Christmas Sweater” party. Where we both sported the lovely sweaters shown below. We searched high and low to find Jason a tacky enough sweater, but nothing met our standards. So, on Saturday afternoon I spend three hours sewing a felt monstrosity on to one of his existing sweaters. As you can see, it turned out pretty well. In fact, we are not sure if we want to take it off of the sweater. My sweater on the other hand, looked perfect on the rack, but when I put it on, it felt like it was made for a linebacker. It was medium sweater from the junior section of Nordstrom circa 1989. I felt like I needed three layers of shoulder pads to fill the thing out. Awkward.

On Sunday afternoon, we went to Jason’s Union’s holiday party. A few people he knew turned out and Jason ended up getting the second highest score out of everyone who attended. This was the party where we proceed to eat half of an overly greasy pizza, when we weren’t even hungry, and then followed it up with dinner at Sharky’s, when we were again, not hungry.

So beside the fact that we both now have stomach issues, a cold and sore muscles from bowling, it was a pretty good weekend.

Video Game Survival

There aren’t many video games that I can stand to watch for more than a have hour, with an exception of Lego Star Wars. The fact that it is a Star Wars video game isn’t enough, it is the part of the game where they redo scenes from with Lego characters that cracks me up. Especially scenes from Episode 4 (the best episode).

STRIKE!

STRIKE

This is what I get to see everyday on the way to work. Everyone honks in support and it slows traffic down. Not only are they making us poor, but they are making my commute longer! Ugh!

Attempting

Ok, so here goes another attempt to start using my blog. I have been in the middle of creating yet another wedding website, and I thought well I should probably also update my blog with wedding info and the such. Not to mention, many pictures of our dog Ollie. I have been trying to come up with a cute domain name for our wedding website. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

California weather is really starting to bum me out. It has been in the 80’s all this week. It’s NOVEMBER! I am more than ready to be listening to Christmas music and put up my tree, but the weather is fighting against me. Don’t get me wrong, I am listening to Christmas regardless and have already begun to address my Christmas cards, but still I feel I should be wearing gloves and scarf to do so.

The weather has not stopped me from almost buying all of my Christmas presents. I don’t believe I have ever purchased so many Christmas presents this early before. This is probably because I have never had so much time to surf the internet before in my life.

Second chance

I know I have been a complete blog slacker, but since work has really slowed down for me, I thought I would give it a second chance. As you have probably noticed, I have moved to word press, because let’s face it, everyone else is. Everything people have said about it is true. I have spent the good part of two weeks planning out the L.A.I.R.D. Itinerary (Los Angeles International Reunion Day) and I think I have finally finished. I am really not sure how I am going to be able to concentrate at work, I am way too excited for later this week.
